Emergency Preparedness for Families Affected by Autism
The Autism Society of Indiana invites families affected by autism to a special Emergency Preparedness Presentation on Wednesday, October 23 at 6:30 PM at the Shelby County Public Library in Carnegie Room B. This free, in-person event will help families learn how to prepare for emergencies while building positive, trusting relationships with local first responders. The presentation will include interactive role-playing scenarios, guidance on creating personalized emergency profiles, information about emergency planning specific to individuals with autism, and a demonstration of locative tracking devices like Tile. Each registered family will receive a free Tile device to support safety and elopement prevention. Space is limited to 15 registrants, so early registration is encouraged.
