COVID-19 Facebook

The Autism Society of America launched a Facebook Live series dedicated to providing relevant, COVID-19 information for the autism community. The weekly broadcast will feature an expert discussing specific topics like mental health, federal emergency funding, and continuing education at home.

Additionally, the Autism Society of America has has partnered with myHana, an organization provided educational programming support for caretakers, to co-host a second Facebook Live series. Experts will be discussing ongoing challenges for caretakers during the COVID-19 crisis.

Wellness Wednesday’s Starting Wednesday April 1, 2020:

Wellness Wednesday’s is a Facebook series the Autism Society of Indiana is putting on to keep our community engaged during this time at home. Each Wednesday at 12 PM video will be posted on our Facebook or we will go on Facebook live to present to you a different topic/activity. These videos will range from yoga sessions to BCBA talks. The Autism Society of Indiana wants to use this as a way to provide resources to our community as well as supporting providers while they may not be receiving an income during this time – each speaker will receive a $25 donation towards their organization/group.

Each day, the Autism Society of Indiana is posting a “quarantine” question of the day, each day at 10 AM. These questions are great to have a chance to learn more about our staff as well as engage with others on a social platform during this time. Check our Facebook for these questions!
