DESCRIPTION:Join the Autism Society of Indiana for a helpful and encouraging presentation focused on preparing individuals with autism and their families for the holiday season. While holidays can bring excitement and meaningful traditions\, they can also create challenges due to changes in routines\, increased sensory input\, travel\, social expectations\, and busy schedules. This session will provide practical strategies to help reduce stress and build positive holiday experiences for the entire family. Topics will include preparing for schedule changes\, managing sensory sensitivities\, navigating family gatherings\, supporting communication and emotional regulation\, creating visual supports and social stories\, and balancing traditions with individual needs. Families and caregivers will leave with tools and ideas to help make the holiday season more enjoyable\, predictable\, and inclusive for their loved ones with autism.
