Indiana Allies

1. Allies listen:  Each Ally has the personal experience of parenting a child with autism, and uses that foundation to support families and individuals with autism because they know first hand how hard it is to manage the challenges of autism.
2. Allies connect:  Allies know the providers, schools, programs, and tools in their immediate areas. This allows them to work with the families to identify what supports and services are specifically available in their area.
3. Allies teach:  The Allies understand that every person needs to process at their own pace. Instead of doing “for” people, they teach them how to do it themselves. Allies provide workshops and training at no cost to the family or provider.
To reach you local Ally, call: 800-609-8449 and enter your zip code. You will be routed to the Ally in your area.
The Indiana Ally program is funded, in part, by the Bureau of Developmental Disability Services.

Autism Resource Network of Indiana (ARNI) www.ARNIonline.org

ARNI is the “one-stop-shop” that helps visitors find events, articles, providers, services, and more. Updated regularly, ARNI is the most comprehensive database of Indiana specific, autism related information. You can search for providers within a certain radius of your zip code, or you can search for information based on your role, your child’s age, the environment, and more.
ARNI is continuously being updated by the Indiana Allies.

Support Groups
ASI offers support groups around Indiana, for parents, for teens & tweens, and adults on the spectrum. To find out more about a group in your area, visit our website page here.

Parent Advisory Councils (PAC)
We need to hear from you. What do you need, what is lacking in your area and what is working well? There are PAC’s around the state, led by volunteers. Each PAC is different, and is not a support group. The goal of the PAC program is to give a voice to communities and to facilitate communication with ASI directly about issues and needs, and to plan events to raise awareness in cities throughout Indiana.
