I’m Mary Roth, and I’m proud to be the Ally for Central Indiana. I have been involved with the Autism Society of Indiana since 2008. I began as an educational advocate, working with parents who were struggling to get proper services for their children at school and attending case conferences. Now, I am the Lead Ally and answer calls from parents living in central Indiana, providing information, support, and referrals. My passion is helping parents find the resources they need to improve their family life and their children’s future.
My training has been concentrated on Article 7 and other disability legal issues, as well as mental health issues. I speak at support group meetings, provider meetings, camps, churches, and wherever else information is needed.
My husband and I have two daughters, aged 9 and 11, one of whom is one the spectrum. I grew up in Indiana and have lived in New Jersey and Georgia as an adult. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and have worked in the paper, chemical, and energy industries.
