Little Star Center is a non-profit organization that serves the needs of children and families affected by autism. Located in Carmel, Indiana as well as a location in Lafayette, Little Star has been providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior principles to children with autism since 2002.
Little Star was founded by Steele and Amy Gudal. When their daughter Gentry was diagnosed with autism, they did all that was necessary in helping their daughter’s development. After much research, the Gudals found the treatment that their daughter would benefit from the most, ABA. The closest treatment facility was five states away – there were none in Indiana. A year later, Little Star was founded by the Gudals for their daughter Gentry and for additional families who needed the same medically necessary treatment for their children. Each year Little Star serves more children.
This year, they are celebrating their 10th Anniversary as the first center in the state of its kind. In August of 2011, Little Star Center was the recipient of the 2011 Excellence in Direct Care award by the Autism Society of Indiana.
