In partnership with the Bureau of Developmental Disability Services (BDDS), ASI is pleased to provide the Indiana Allies program.
Allies are personally affected by autism (parent, family member, child) and have a solid foundation of what it is like to have and manage an autism spectrum disorder. And, because every part of Indiana has different needs the Allies work hard to know the services provided by Developmental Disability providers, Community Mental Health Centers, Schools, Hospitals, and State Agencies.
Allies listen. Each Ally has the personal experience and the hands-on training to understand the effect a new diagnosis can have on a family. Each Ally knows how hard it is to create a strong Individualized Education Plan (IEP), how difficult transitions can be, and how challenging supporting your adult child on the spectrum can be.
Allies teach. Providing workshops and training sessions about autism, sensory integration, and supports is one of the specialties of the Allies. To request a workshop or training in your area, please click here.
Allies know. Building partnerships with local providers is the best way for the Allies to provide specific, individualized support to those needing help.
To reach an Ally in your area call 800-609-8449 or email info@inautism.org or email them directly. Learn more about the Ally in your area by clicking on their name.
